What to Expect When a Tech Comes to Your Home

When something goes wrong with your plumbing or HVAC system, it can be scary if you don’t have a trusted plumber to call that you’ve had experience with. You never really know what to expect when you hire someone to do repairs in your home and we know how intimidating that can be. However, at Al Terry Plumbing & Heating, our goal is to be completely transparent throughout the whole process so you will know exactly what you are going to get. From the initial call, all the way through the repair process and beyond, we will keep you updated and informed on what we are doing so you can have peace of mind when working with us. Here’s what you can expect when we send a technician to your home!

Initial Call or Email

When you first call or email Al Terry, one of our friendly customer service representatives will be ready and happy to assist you. We will discuss the issue you’re having, determine if it is an urgent issue that will require a technician to head out immediately or schedule a time that is convenient for you. Once we have agreed upon a time, we will notify our technicians. On the day of your service, we will send you a photo of your technician so you know exactly who will be showing up at your home. We respect your time and understand that there is nothing worse than having to block off a 2-3 hour window for the technician to show up and that is why we update you in real-time so you will know precisely when he’ll be arriving.

Diagnosing the Problem

The first thing our team of technicians will do is diagnose the problem you are having with your plumbing, heating, or air conditioning system. Once the issue is diagnosed our team will come up with a plan to either repair or replace the damaged equipment. After they feel they know what your best option is, our techs will offer you your options and give you a fair estimate. Our knowledgeable technicians always take the time to explain every detail in depth and answer your questions thoroughly so that you can make the most informed decision possible.

The repair may take place the same day the problem is diagnosed, but a replacement may require parts or equipment to be ordered. All of our service and repair work comes with our two-year parts and labor warranty and new installations include five-year parts and labor warranty.

Some homeowners may fear that having a plumber/technician in their home may make a mess, but at Al Terry we make it our mission to leave your home in the same condition we found it. We take preventative measures to avoid a mess but rest assured that our technicians will also clean-up thoroughly once the job is complete.
